The SERV ADAPT provide will provides students with the understanding of how a partial care program operates and the services provided to individuals with chronic severe mental illness.
During their placement the students will be expected to shadow staff as they facilitate psycho educational groups daily.
Students will work with program staff to understand how to develop curriculum with groups and assist with co- facilitating groups as the semester proceeds.
Students will be given opportunities to observe individual meetings including assessments if individuals receiving services are comfortable with that arrangement. They will be encouraged to engage in interactions with individuals receiving services under the supervision of staff at the program.
