JOB SUMMARY:
In a Partial Care setting, provide on-site direct behavioral health care services to clients (Adult, MICA, Geriatric). Direct service expectation is 2-5 groups daily.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for providing daily structure and outpatient groups which include but are not limited to supervision and assistance with daily living skills, anger management, mental health issues, current events, cooking skills, supportive counseling, health and exercise issues, symptom management, medication management, life skills, expressive arts, and relationships.
Partial Care Counselors communicate all significant changes in the client’s behavior level and notable incidents to the appropriate team leader.
Act as liaisons and client advocates for community resources.
Responsible for ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment and adhering to all safety standards, Federal and State regulations, and corporate policies.
Performs other duties occasionally, as deemed appropriate by the supervisor.
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & ABILITY:
Bachelor’s degree in the field of Human Services; or Associates Degree and two years of related work or life experience in providing human services; or a High School diploma and five years related work or life experience in providing human services, or possess a relevant credential, such as Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner, bachelor’s degree in social work, certified rehabilitation counselor, certified alcohol and drug counselor, bachelor’s degree in rehabilitation, or a bachelor of science in nursing
